Gloria Zachgo’s Kansas roots naturally shape her stories. She grew up on a farm in Lincoln County, Kansas, and attended one of the country’s last one-room schoolhouses. After graduating from Brown Mackie Business School, she married her high school sweetheart.
After living out of state for several years, Gloria and her husband returned to their Kansas roots. While raising their children, she ran a small business from their home. Once their children were grown, Gloria pursued a lifelong dream and began taking art lessons.
Always eager to learn, Gloria joined a creative writing group in 2006 and discovered a passion for writing fiction. She challenged herself to develop one of her short stories into a novel. Since then, she has written four books:
